Career Based Learning Experiences
Elkhorn Area School District offers a variety of career based learning experiences (CBLE's) where students can work in and learn more about a chosen occupational career field that is aligned with their academic career plan. Students can choose a program from the following options that best fits into their academic schedule:
* Job Shadow
* Internship
* Youth Apprenticeship
* State Certified Co-op
Program Objectives:
* Helps prepare students for meaningful employment
* Provides opportunities for the student to develop personal and social
qualities that will be helpful to them when they need to make
personal, occupational and educational decisions
* Allows students to connect classroom learning to occupational
experience
* Develops and strengthens employability skills
* Builds a network of contacts for the students as they continue to grow
and develop in their career field
Program Eligibility
* Genuine interest in the CBLE program
* Parental support secured to participate
* Junior or senior standing
* Adherence to all specific program requirements and expectations
Application Process
* Students need to meet first with their counselor and then the CTE
Coordinator to determine scheduling and the appropriate application

* Complete the application paperwork and submit to CTE Coordinator
* Develop a current resume
